Human Movement and KLP Collide on ‘Restart’
Two of Australia’s most exciting forces in dance music — Human Movement and KLP — join on ‘Restart’, out now via Gallery Recordings.
Fusing KLP’s soaring, emotive vocals with Human Movement’s rolling, late-night production, the track captures pure club euphoria in four minutes of tension and release.
For Lebanese-Australian producer Human Movement (Edward Macdonald), ‘Restart’ is both a creative reset and his most definitive work yet. Driven by classic rhythms, a nostalgic M1 bassline and KLP’s angelic topline, the single marks a fresh era. “It captures a new idea and style for me,” he says. “With KLP on the vocal, everything finally clicked — it’s my favourite track yet.”
KLP, an ARIA-nominated, Platinum-certified vocalist and producer, adds: “Working with Human Movement was such a fluid experience. I’ve been a fan of his for a while, so when he sent me the idea I was instantly keen to be involved.”
The collaboration follows a landmark season for both: KLP’s debut at Hï Ibiza and recent global releases alongside Dombresky, CHANEY, Kettama and DJ Heartstring; and Human Movement’s acclaimed club and festival sets, plus releases that have gained support from Bonobo, DJ Seinfeld, Sarah Story, and more.
Individually, the two have carved out distinct reputations — Human Movement redefining the sound of Australian club music through his genre-blurring sets and productions, and KLP as not only an artist but a tastemaker and A&R shaping the next wave of dance talent. Together on ‘Restart’, they channel their momentum into a timeless, forward-looking anthem that signals new chapters for both artists.
