Lady Tazz is a rebel. Not one to be caged, she is making her own indelible mark on the global underground. This Canadian/Bangladeshi artist gives her listeners dark but inviting soundscapes with mind-melting synths, ethereal vocals and spikes of acid that make for arresting listening. Now based in Dubai – ahead of her new release on Mind Medizin – she shares her guide into what’s cooking in the city of gold.

My favourite bar is Budha Bar in Dubai; I grew up listening to all of their music selection, so it’s always nostalgic visiting any of the Budha Bar franchise. It has everything from an immersive ambience and mesmerising music to captivating visuals and intriguing performances.

Must try drink – ‘Wabi Sabi’  (A sesame-Infused Japanese Whiskey, Plum Sake & Bitters)

I’m big on beach, and the weather is always good here for them! So I would recommend: –

Chill 

Chilling out for me in Dubai means discovering shisha places. They are literally everywhere, and are all good, choose one and take a few minutes out of the day to relax and watch the world go by. Some of the best are Dubai Downtown – this has always been a favourite chill spot for me at a place called CNZ Burak. They have the best shisha, but I also suggest Buhayra Lounge, Huqqa lounge and Al – Meshwar restaurant.

Visit

I have to admit that the Gold Souk is one of Dubai’s treasures. It has everything, including gold, spices, and many Oud scents.

Dubai Mall is a one-stop shopping destination for all things. It remains open till midnight. And it really does have everything you could possibly need.

One of the best hotels ever constructed is the Jumeirah Burj Al Arab, where everyone should stay for at least one night. The way that it integrates the four elements—earth, water, air, and fire—into its construction is what makes it such a wonder.

Atlantis is a fantastic aquatic adventure destination for people of all ages.

And finally, I adore Ferrari World, a fantastic indoor theme park. In addition to the fantastic rides, you can enjoy everything in air conditioning.

Best things to do whilst you’re there

When it comes to Dubai, I like to go out at night because of the scorching temperature. However, I prefer to spend my time relaxing at home while it’s hot outside.
