Unheard Music Launch New Label Championing Artistic Freedom and Experimentation
Unheard Music has launched as a collective-driven underground electronic music label focused on artistic freedom and experimentation.
Unheard Music’s debut release is ‘Rabbit Hole’ by Far&High and pizzaaftersex, featuring remixes from Sasha Carassi and Gorge. Future releases are planned across both digital and vinyl formats, reflecting the label’s commitment to artist-led output and tangible releases rather than algorithm-driven content.
The label was founded on the principle that music should not be restricted by trends, algorithms, or established formulas. It provides artists with the space to explore ideas, experiment with sounds, and develop work that is uncompromising and authentic. By allowing artists to work outside conventional expectations, Unheard Music aims to give them full control over their creative output and preserve the integrity of their sound.
The founding artists include Far&High, with 25 years of experience in electronic music, blending indie dance with experimental approaches; pizzaaftersex, who has tens of millions of streams in cinematic music and now focuses on dancefloor-oriented DJ sets across genres; and Mona Chrome, a rising techno artist whose work draws from dub and house traditions and has received support from Solomun and Pan-Pot. Each founder brings a distinct perspective, creating a label that is not tied to a single style but defined by artistic vision.
Far&High commented:
“Unheard Music is a space for self-expression beyond genre, stylistic, and conceptual boundaries. The label aims to support music that comes directly from the artists without external constraints. This approach allows us to prioritise creativity and authenticity over commercial trends.”
In addition to recorded releases, Unheard Music is developing events in Dubai, London, and New York, alongside video mixes, podcasts, and off-site sessions. These initiatives aim to build a community around music, emphasising sound as culture and connection rather than algorithmic consumption. The label intends to create experiences that engage audiences in diverse ways while maintaining a focus on underground electronic music.
‘Rabbit Hole’ is the first release from Unheard Music, demonstrating the label’s dedication to experimental electronic music and setting the foundation for a catalogue that reflects the vision of its founding artists. The label continues to expand its roster and plans additional releases that maintain its focus on artistic freedom and underground expression.
