Miami based, Cuban-born DJ and producer, Malóne, is riding some serious momentum off of his biggest year yet in 2024. He kicked off the year, with the launch of his new Latin-inspired tech-house label/event series, ‘WHYNOTUS’, and has already released a slew of original singles on the imprint, including his Afro-infused heater “444,” his Latin-inspired sizzler “Un Beso” and his percussive collaboration alongside Brooklyn-native Ky William “Rhythm Guide.” We caught up with him to to get the lowdown on his favourite Miami hangouts.

Places to eat

The must eat local food for me definitely has to be anything Cuban. Any small Cuban cafeteria on the corner likely has the most fire, authentic Cuban food and Cuban coffee

For cheap eats, a spot that is absolutely, insanely good is the Taco Stand in Wynwood. Authentic made by hand tacos, can’t go wrong.

My favourite fine dining in Miami is Cote, in the Design District. High end Korean BBQ, it’s incredible.

Drink

I’m a big coffee drinker, and I love my Cuban coffee. Funny enough, The Daily on Biscayne makes one of the best cafe con leches in the city.

Party

That’s easy… Club Space is the place.

Chill

Wynwood is always a good time, as well as Brickell City centre. You can do anything you want there.

Best things to do

You definitely have to check out the beaches in Miami. One of my favourite things to do is get a chair and just hang on the beach, go for a swim. So relaxing and recharging.
